WATCH: Meet The Republicans Who Are Definitely Not Scientists

Republicans’ new favorite talking point on climate change — that politicians are not scientists, and therefore cannot address it in any way — is incredibly easy to dismantle. On Wednesday, a liberal “dark money” group released a new ad doing exactly that.

In their new web ad, Americans United for Change displays clips of dozens of Republican politicians — who are definitely not scientists — pushing back against the well-established scientific consensus that human activities are causing the Earth’s climate to warm.

The ad, which features arguments from GOP leaders such as House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and potential presidential contenders including former Florida governor Jeb Bush and Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX), Rand Paul (R-KY), and Marco Rubio (R-FL), will reportedly be posted in the D.C. and Florida markets.
